The Tragedy of P (Pの悲劇, P no Higeki) is a one-shot story by Rumiko Takahashi, published in 1991. It was adapted in anime as the 1st episode of the Rumiko Takahashi Anthology.
Summary[]
A housewife, living in a complex where pets are strictly prohibited, agrees to take care of a pet penguin for a time at her husband’s request, thus struggles to hide it long enough not to meet the strict eye of the apartment’s anti-pet committee’s leader.

- Yūko Haga was originally not given a first name in the manga version.
- Shippō from Inuyasha makes a cameo as a plush. It would be seen again in a landfill in House of Garbage.
