The Executive's Dog (専務の犬, Senmu no inu) is a one-shot story by Rumiko Takahashi, published in 1994. It was adapted in anime as the 13th and final episode of the Rumiko Takahashi Anthology.

Summary[]

A timid salaryman's family is asked to pet-sit an expensive dog that belongs to his boss' mistress, which leads to a series of situations that increasingly fuels his wife's exasperation as well as his own stress.

  • Matsuko was originally not named in the manga version.
  • The kanjis in the Kogure family name 小暮 stand for “small” and “living”, which may refer to the Kogure’s household being narrow.
  • Kagome Inuyasha Cameo in Rumic Theater
    Inuyasha and Kagome from Inuyasha make a cameo when Matsuko buys 500 grams of pork with Gorgeous.
  • The console Kanna offers to Kosuke is a Neo-Geo in the manga. In the anime, it’s a console called Poxpack.
